The War in Iraq: Should We Stay or Should We Go!

This is the question that linger in everyone's mind; "Should we stay or should we go?" The democratic political party nominee Barack Obama believe that we should redeploy our troops from Iraq. While the opposing republican party nominee John McCain thinks that we should leave our troops in Iraq until Iraq is able to become capable of governing itself and safeguarding its people.

Sen. Obama has opposed the war in Iraq before it began and is looking to end it as soon as he gets in office. Also, Sen. Obama believes that it was a grave mistake to allow ourselves to be distracted from the fight against Al Qaeda and the Taliban by invading a country that posed no imminent threat and had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. Since we have been at war in Iraq more than 4,000 Americans are casualties now and the numbers are still rising. The cost of this war has nearly cost taxpayers 1 trillion dollars, which has caused a great decline in our country economy. Which has caused threats to be greater from Afghanistan to Al Qaeda to Iran.

Sen. McCain is not being a realist. He thinks his experiences from being a Vietnam veteran give him an edge in the strategically planning of our country. All props are given to him for his service to our country but today is a different day. The war that our country is fighting today is costing our American people their homes and much of their security of being safe in the future. Even though lives have been lost, McCain says that our country could be at war for the next 100 years. It seems that they want to destroy the United States reputation as being "The Melting Pot". It seems that this war is for personal reasons of helping the rich get richer and having the majority of nation to continue to suffer from this senseless war.
