Getting Back on Top: US Economy

The economy has taken a tremendous decline in the past seven years. Gas prices have risen more people are being force to unemployment and home foreclosure is very high. Obama and McCain both agree a way to jumpstart the economy is to help the American people by giving tax cuts to working citizens. Obama feels providing additional tax rebates to American workers, even though the economy has continued to weaken significantly, despite congressional action to provide immediate tax rebates to American consumers and establishing$10 billion foreclosure prevention fund that will not help speculators, people buying vacation homes or people that falsely represented their incomes. It is meant to help responsible homeowners through this difficult period. John McCain plans on reducing the federal corporate tax rate to 25 percent from 35 percent. McCain will also propose an alternative new and simpler tax system and give America a choice. If this reform is enacted, all who wish to stay under the current system could still do so, but everyone else could choose a vastly less complicated system.
In trade talks each candidate has separate views. Obama believe trades with foreign countries should help our economy progress as well. It will help with more employment opportunities. On the other hand McCain wants to level the global playing field and build effective enforcement of global trading rules. This will just help to increase the US dollar amount and not jobs for the American people.
There are some issues that both Barack Obama and John McCain have the same views on is home foreclosure. They agree that lenders and mortgage loan companies should be investigated to make sure people that are home buyers are not being cheated. They will pass laws to make sure fraud is not being committed and tax breaks will be given to homeowners especially if the homeowner makes less than $50,000 a year.
